Today - the things that happened

 1. https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/michelledean/dee-dee-wanted-her-daughter-to-be-sick-gypsy-wanted-her-mom#.npWqEl41V -

This is a rather creepy story of a mother and daughter duo, Deedee and Gypsy, who took advantage of the various facilities provided to the disabled. Gypsy was always in a wheelchair and intubated. Deedee, the mother, used to get medical reports, various diagnoses, surgeries done on her child, to get free housing, etc. Then one day, Deedee is slaughtered and a FB post reads, "The bitch is dead." We later find that Gypsy was not an invalid. Her mother kept her sick to get sympathy. She went to the extent of having doctors operate on her eyes, her ears, putting her on drip, etc. Gypsy in turn learned to manipulate people (her sympathizers) in different ways. Then one day, she snapped and with the help of a boyfriend she had made online, killed her mother. The boyfriend stabbed Deedee many times while Gypsy sat in the next room listening to everything. This toxic condition of Deedee's of cooking up medical ailments and using her daughter to get social currency through pity is a condition known as 'Munchausen by proxy'.

2. A friend from law college came over. It was so, so good to meet him! Was meeting him after nearly 10 years. In 10 years, he has been to Harvard twice (HARVARD!) and MIT AND Stanford! I really had a proper, solid fan-girl moment! Harvard! He went to Harvard! Harvard Business and Harvard Law! After reading Eric Segal's 'The Class', I have been such a huge fan of the institute. I took extra care to make tea and all. After all, it was for a Harvard alumni! Wow! This was such a thrill.

3. Met brother. He was wearing the shirt I gave him for his birthday. He was looking nice. We went to Suzette. Had an orange juice and an excellent apple crumble pastry. There was a problem with the service, so the sourdough bread was on the house.

4. Went to Mount Mary. Put up my new bulb lights in the living room.

Quite cute, I think.

Oh my God! He went to Harvard! Good times!
