Today, a friend of mine shared pictures of her marriage. I was a little distracted with work and a little excited about a possible publication of an article. But I was happy for her.
Tonight, another friend of mine called to tell me that her long-term relationship was over. I had to meet a deadline but I did meet her for coffee.
Strange - that despite how different the two situations were, I found myself wishing the same thing for both of them - to keep their hearts open and full of peace.
