April Poem 8

It is possible for the heart to, over time,
Put up a wall - and put it up nice and slow.
And this wall might never come down again.
But maybe, over time, it could get a window.

And that window is so very necessary, my friend!

a window is an escape from the wall
and sometimes the wall itself
their heart is a rocky terrain now
it does no longer swell
