Claiming baggage

I have always found baggage carousels fascinating. I imagine that somewhere in the skies, before we are born, our souls pick out destinies this way. Someone wants a small compact bag because it will be easier to carry. Someone else wants a large suitcase that will have everything you need for the journey. A third might want that crude mango crate that is uncomfortable, but contains the sweetest things. And then with that baggage we are born. And every day, as events and thoughts arise; we keep picking that same bag. Until one day, maybe, we decide we've had enough and take a chance. We pick another bag. Instead of steel grey trunk, we pick the cloth satchel with polka dots and unicorns. And upon unpacking, we finally start realizing very slowly...that the destination doesn't change. But the destiny might. And if your baggage is lost, you can actually exit quicker and begin again. And that can be a mighty big stroke of luck.
