Abolish the quota system but make the institution accessible to those without connections, affiliations, access to evaluation techniques at a higher level than school or college education, or varied backgrounds. We need India to grow with the help of brilliant minds, not with political affiliations and advantage over others in the areas that really have no connection with the actual output of the institution and its apparent goals.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9984584.post-6198765607071538852007-07-04T16:27:00.000+05:302007-07-04T16:27:00.000+05:30M. the guy's response is not even a valid view-poi...M. the guy's response is not even a valid view-point, he's just ranting. while burkha is making a good point with reason behind it, this other guy is just puking out his bitterness. here's why:

"...because of induction of some below par students" ~if i have admitted that they 'below-par' then as an institution, i am just eroding their own self-esteem and capabilities by telling them, you need a crutch, here i will give it to you instead of telling them that they need to show competency of a ceratin level.

"...an educational institution is known not for its worst product but for its best product." ~the chances of such best products coming in get lower with each seat being given to a non-deserving candidate.

"...even if the protagonists are not clad in designer clothes and pampered exclusivity" ~there's obviosuly a hidden grudge and bitterness behind this redundant statement.

"...the very same worthies have pulled down the standard of Indian journalism from dizzying heights of nation building" ~a generalizing. it's not true of everyone in that profession. never a good way to prove a hard point.

"...Mindless pursuit of power and position can only be attractive to idiots..." ~again, a display of emotional immaturity.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05435088997322433564noreply@blogger.com
